What a gem of a place! Ambience: this feels just like a small restaurant in the West Village in NYC. That alone has a massive appeal if you are looking for an intimate, neighborhood like kind of experience. Service: the staff was so attentive! Eric and Diego were super sweet. We kept talking in Spanish and English. They accommodated whatever language I was comfortable with. I didn’t felt rushed nor awkward, even though I was dining alone (gotta love business travel) Food: and then there’s the food... if you’re looking for traditional Mexican food this isn’t the place for you. This is an elevated experience. Definitely playing with the ingredientes, pushing the boundaries of possibilities. I enjoyed every single dish I had. They were all very well executed, well balanced flavors, very tasteful. Would definitely go back if ever in town!

A gem in Polanco - intimate and relaxing atmosphere with innovative food and great drinks! The flavors were exciting and unusual, there is a good amount of focus on fermentation techniques but well-balanced. Really wish we were in the city longer so that I could’ve come back to try more dishes. Loved the house-made sausage, fennel and peach salad, and grilled lettuce!

I had a great experience at Malix. The chef is very passionate about what he does and it shows in the dishes. The menu is well thought out and everything I ordered was innovative while still being delicious. Great culinary experience.

Like another reviewer mentioned, this feels like a small, intimate restaurant you would find in the West Village. Surprised that they had a table for two available when we walked in for a weeknight dinner. Service was super attentive (thanks Diego!) and the food was excellent. Enjoyed the lamb ragu. The whiskey and chocolate pairing for dessert was *chef’s kiss*!!

This was one of our top culinary experiences in CDMX. Quiet little street, quaint atmosphere, amazing service from Diego. We had a fantastic Mexican Sauvignon Blanc and a few small plates. The ceviche was so good that we ordered two. I can’t recommend enough and thank you, Diego, for being such a welcoming and fantastic host

Chef came by and explained every dish we ordered. Very professional and passionate about his work. Each dish was delicious, teasing different parts of the palate with tastes never experienced. Our waitress was very attentive. Kept switching out our used plates and cutlery with fresh clean ones after each plate. Great that she spoke Spanish and English. Wonderful dining experience! Thank you!

Hidden Gem in a very low-key street - sometimes even hard to find or notice - yet the attention to details, love for quality ingredients , and definitely passion to deliver true and authentic experince is Top Notch ! Well done
